First Fontainebleau Bouldering Trip

First trip to the amazing world of bouldering that is Fontainebleau just one hour South-East of Paris. Thousand amazing sandstone boulders to climb and many problems to solve.

I have visited 5 different sited wile there which I have market and named in the below map.

Fontainebleau
Some Bouldering areas in Font

Climbs on sites very in height and there is always something for everyone difficulty wise. We normally would follow the blue and orange circuits that have been marked there, following the guide books of course.

Font has some awesome small wildlife as well. Loads lizards on hot days, we have come across a Southern Smooth Snake, loads random beetles etc.

If you want to have a day off from climbing it is really worth just to have a walk in the area just to admire the nature and the rocks around. There are loads trails which are also easy to follow. We have hiked the 25 bumps on our day off, which was taking longer then expected as instead of 9.05 miles we thought it will be, it turned out to be 11.3 miles walk 😀 Was pretty fun in sunny and rainy weather.

If you want to know more about the climb grades on each of these 5 sites I have added links on the bottom of the page for your reference.

Greetings my dear reader. My name is Natalia and I am a 28-year-old Marketing with Advertising graduate from around the Midlands in England. I love to travel and do loads of road trips, but above everything, I love climbing adventures with my climbing buddies. With this blog, I would like to be able to note down my thoughts and share my adventures I can look back at in years’ time with a smile on my face. I am also on a search for more exciting adventures and self-development. Since I absolutely adore natural world I also want to develop my knowledge and skills to reduce as much waste as I can that is bad for the environment. I like feedback and others input so I always want to hear other people’s experiences and ideas.
